June 20, 2016

The kids are scattered throughout the house – two are lounging on the couch, reading long books, and two are outside playing catch. The drawings they were working on earlier are waiting to either be put be away or paid attention to again. It’s 10:30 and this is the summer that I love. Slow and easy with good, good things happening.

We spent the last four days easing into it, watching too many movies, getting a few more minutes of sleep each morning, reminding my people how we’re going to treat each other, and going no where simply because we could.

Drinking my smoothie breakfast this morning and watching everyone doing summer provided me one of those kairos moments where you realize everything is amazing.
I’m off to enjoy it.
